The Right One

I told them about the concept that God had specific people chosen for us to marry, a concept that does exist called "The Right One". I had in mind the many stories of people I knew who shared about their love realities, of which those were Godly-relationships that were pretty obviously God-given. They, in my opinion, mostly came in the form of answered prayers.

They told me that there was no such thing as The Right One. They said, "How can it be that God only has one partner in mind for everyone? What happens then if one person marries the wrong person? Then that person's partner will be left with no partner and then the chain continues where the wrong person's partner also has no partner." Some others did not understand the concept of The Right One of which I believed existed. Still others could only interpret my actions as being rebellious and naive.

I thought it once that such a concept existed and nearly based my entire life on that one system of belief. But I was proven wrong on more than the two accounts. I was left brokenhearted and God speaks to us more than just through "answered prayers".

Then came you.

If God does not exist, if the concept of "The Right One" truly did not exist, many of those out there would never have been able to explain how they managed to find their partners and were so sure of their relationship with each other. That includes me.

How would one explain the acceptance of each other and our maybe-soon-to-be-but-not-yet relationship from both our families, one just three days after meeting you and the other before even meeting me? How would one explain the timely persistence through the "undesired" circumstances? How would one explain all the stringent criteria met and prayers answered? How would one explain the disbelief felt, so much that we would gasp for breath to manage the disbelief? How would one explain our spirits being unfathomably connected?

The concept of The Right One exists.

If 99% of the world does not want the person God had intended for them to have, aren't there "more choices"? Why then would any one run out of having a partner? Has not your Provider provided for all your needs? Is not God able to do anything more than you could possibly imagine? Is not all things possible with God?

Though, our hope and focus is not in the one we love. But the person we hope to find is first the Person who gives us what we desire. And when that Person has found us and when we know the Person, then and only then may the Person let us find the person we hope to find.

And that was when God let us find each other.

And that was when we found each other, you know, My Right One?
